“As the world gets smaller and smaller, food gets overlapped and we’re trying to represent that spirit.”
Dave Greenwell
When
checking into our vacation rental for the week, we asked the ladies
in the office where there was a good local place to eat. They
suggested the Third Culture Kitchen and added, it is just a fun place
to go. Well okay then. That got our curiosity. We unloaded our
bags and set up the rental for our week and off we went to check out
the “Fun” restaurant.
Third
Culture was only a mile or so from our rental which was nice and
convenient. It is also just a fifteen minute drive from Kennedy Space
Center. We pulled into the crowded parking lot and found a spot to
park. I loved the look of the outside patio strung with lights and
fun paint job on the building. That would have been a great place
to sit if it wasn’t in the upper 90’s that day. They do allow
dogs to sit with you on the patio.
As
we entered the building, at once you could see the fun and colorful
paintings and eclectic design of the restaurant. A friendly hostess
greeted up and lead us to a table. I noticed there was a full bar
on one wall and along another modern and colorful mural along two
walls. After looking at the drink menu, we saw all the wonderful
specialty drinks and a great selection of beers. I ordered a
margarita and Joe ordered a local beer. Cheers to the beginning of a
great vacation.
This
restaurant was designed to be a casual, relaxed place for friends and
family to come and enjoy a great meal. The staff keep this place a
fun and lively place to enjoy. Their mission statement is “Welcome,
try this.”
We
sat and looked over the very unique menu. They had such a variety of
foods from all over the world. There was Asian Rice Bowls, burritos,
tacos, Indochinese dishes, Lumpia, tapas, skewers, salads, vegetarian
choices, ribs, and chicken. It was a very unique menu with great
choices depending on your lifestyle.
Joe
ordered the ribs and I ordered the oriental chicken. When the
plates came out, we noticed that the serving size was large and the
food smelled wonderful and it was. Everything was fantastic and the
service was stellar. Stephanie, our waitress was very kind and
professional. She did a great job.
The
restaurant was opened in March 2018. Shawn and Jessie Landry who
are the owners of Bagel 13, which was what was in this building prior
to the Third Culture restaurant. Shawn and Jessie along with the
former county commissioner, Robin Fisher all joined together with
Dave Greenwood who got together to bring this unique idea of a
restaurant into play.
The
restaurant is located in the southern part of Titusville at 1000
Cheney Highway, Titusville, Florida and their hours are Monday –
Thursday from 11 – 9, Friday and Saturday 11 – 10, and Sunday 10
– 9. Check out this unique restaurant with great food and friendly
staff. Go have a nice relaxed meal and enjoy. I would highly
recommend this restaurant.
