“One of the great gifts of the arcade was the way it put us all
on the same level.”

Who
hasn’t been to Chuck E. Cheese’s with their child. If you want
to make your child happy, this is the place. Or if you just want to
feel like a child again, you may enjoy this place. This is a
restaurant chain that has opened all across the United States and
there are many restaurants have been opened internationally.
We came here for a four year old’s birthday party. My, what a hit it
was. They set the table up all fancy with balloons and birthday
plates and cups and a board set up with the child’s name wishing
her a happy birthday.
If
you are there for a birthday party, the kids who come get a card that
that lets the children play games. The great thing is when you
enter they stamp your hand with the number of the children so no one
can leave with your child with out being scanned. If they don’t
have the same number, they do not leave with you. This is called
the “Kid check” and it is at all locations. This is wonderful
for parents as you can sit and relax and let the children run and
play or join them, but not worry that they can leave.
There
are loads of games for the kids to play. They had skeeball which
was always my favorite to play so I was thrilled. They had a mini
carousel, loads of video games, photo booth, racing game, basket
ball games, and so much more. The kids all enjoyed being here so
much.
Then
came party time. Our hostess brought out the pizzas and we set the
kids up with pizza and drinks. The kids all came to the table and
everyone ate. While we were eating the animated animals started
their show. The kids were watching wide eyed and were fascinated.
On the stage was Helen Henny -a vocalist, Mr. Munch, the keyboard
player and vocals, Jasper T. ( T for Tennessee) Jowls, vocals and
banjo player, Pasqually P. Pieplate – vocals and drums, and of
course, Chuck E. (E for entertainment) Cheese.
Then
after they did their stick, our comes Chuck E. Cheese in a costume.
The kids were so excited. He sang, “Happy Birthday” to the kids
and let them come up and get pictures with him. He comes out every
hour to see the kids. The hostess we had was great and energetic.
It was fun.
Then
came the candle lighting and cake cutting. It was great. The
birthday girl felt very special. She got to dance with the hostess
and hug on Chuck E. who by the way was born in New Jersey. Then
onto opening the gifts.
Then
it was back to the games. This is a great kid friendly restaurant
that is a chain. It is known for the pizza parties and their games
and amusement rides. At the end of the night the kids collect all
the tickets they have and cash them in for little trinkets that make
them very happy.
The menu at the restaurant is Pizza, cold cut sandwiches, chicken wings, salad bar, and desserts. They have sodas and beer for the adults to possibly take the edge off.
The
first Chuck E. Cheese was opened May 17, 1977 in San Jose, California
which was the birthday of all the entertainers we saw today. The
concept was created by Atari and the co-founder was Nolan Bushnell.
He tried to buy a coyote mascot but got a rat instead. The rat
stayed until 1995 when he got a face lift and became a cute mouse.
This
is a great venue for a child’s birthday party. They take all the
work out of a party and is wonderful for the children. If you
haven’t taken your children there you should. It is a great rainy
day idea for the kids also. Check them out at:

Till
next time. God bless.
