Ian Henderson's Antique Mall, Milledgeville, Georgia

Antiquing is all about the journey, the hunt, the thrill of finding the objects of your desire.”
Quote from Antique Lovers

Ian Henderson’s Antique Mall was originally opened by Ian's mother and father, Havalyn and John Henderson in 2001 in Monroe, Georgia. While in Monroe, the store kept growing and they moved from one warehouse to the next as their stock grew. At one time, their mall was considered the largest antique mall in Georgia with 85,000 square feet virtually full of antiques.

The warehouse in Monroe needed to be vacated since the owner had other plans for it so Ian and his father, John moved the store to Milledgeville, Georgia in 2018. It is now located in a 25,000 square foot warehouse and is full of fascinating antiques to check out.   The bonus is their  prices are very reasonable.

When we entered the store, the nicest dog walked up and greeted us. I found out that the dogs name is Chipper and he was a sweetheart. He walked around with us through some of the store. There are many booths set up to  go in, explore,  and check out their antiques. We saw many things here, we had never seen before. We even saw a Dictaphone with unused wax cylinders. There were so many amazing items to see.

There was a train shop that had all different sizes of trains, controllers, and accessories We bought a controller for our train set for a very reasonable price. There was another shop that had antique Christmas items. That was fun and brought back many memories of days gone by. There was some amazing and unique furniture items to see as well. There is room for more vendors and it looks as though more people were coming in setting up new booths. I'm sure it will continue to grow.

What made us come here initially was, for one it was a cold day and a great day to be inside, and other was “Only in Your State” advertised Ian’s as the largest antque shop in Georgia. Well, that was true in their Monroe location, but not here. But, this place was quite a bit smaller but still had some amazing items throughout the store from many different eras. It is still worth a visit but just know it is still growing.

They are open Monday – Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday 12:30 pm to 6 pm. You can check them out at: http://www.ianhendersonsantiquemall.com. Their phone number is 478-456-6799.

We were glad we made the trip. When you are looking for Ian’s, it is a tan metal warehouse that doesn’t have his name on the building yet. There is a small sign hanging up front under a sign that says, Lake Sinclair Storage. If you see that sign, turn into the parking lot. You are there.

Go and enjoy and shop till your drop. There are many great finds to be found. Till next time. Bye for now.
